| Ruia Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme addresses three major areas of social concern: health, education and rural development. |
| Health |
Ruia Hospital and Educational Research Institute, a charitable trust run by the Ruia Group arranges free medical treatment at three Health Clinics in West Bengal. Two of them are in Sagardweep, South 24 Parganas, while the third is in Ruiagram, North 24 Parganas. These clinics attended to more than 500 patients every day through 2007.

Every year on publication of the secondary (class 10 level) and higher secondary (plus 2 level) examinations of different boards, Ruia Group provides financial assistance for continuation of studies to a group of students who despite qualifying for admission to esteemed educational institutions, have no means of paying for the courses. Ruia Group provides for all expenses related to their education, viz. tuition fees, cost of books, etc.
Mr Bikash Bhattacharya, Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, picks up these outstanding achievers who brave severest form of poverty for completion of their school education.
At the moment, the scheme has 54 beneficiaries studying medical, engineering and other courses.

Outstanding achievement by children of employees in any field of sports in a year is encouraged through special incentives.

Outstanding achievement in performing arts, fine arts and other forms of creative exercise by children of employees is encouraged through special incentives. 5 incentives of Rs 5100 each are available every year. |

| Ruia Group runs a social and economic development programme at Ruiagram, a village on the Kalyani Road in North 24 Parganas, about 35 kilometers from Kolkata with the support of the local panchayat. The proposed projects are: |
