Ruia Group acquires Henniges Automotive Grefrath GmbH |

In its attempt to extend its global presence, Ruia Group of Kolkata announced on 14th December 2009 the acquisition of Henniges Automotive Grefrath based in Duseldorf, Germany. This is the second international acquisition in the business of manufacturing automotive sealing systems by the Ruia Group in recent years. The first one was Schlegel Automotive Europe Ltd with its plant at Leicestershire, UK.
Henniges is a leading supplier of automotive sealing systems to global majors like Daimler, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen. With about 400 highly skilled employers on its roll, Henniges grossed a turnover of 83.3 million euro in 2008. With this acquisition, the Ruia group has Toyota, Daimler, BMW, Audi, Nissan, Honda and other auto-majors as its client jointly with Schelegel Automotive of UK. Commenting on the acquisition Ruia Group Chairman Mr Pawan K Ruia said, “We aspire to be a global major in the business of manufacturing automotive sealing systems and an important player in the auti-ancillary business”. However, subsequent to the change of management, the acquired company has been renamed DRAFTEX. |
